Our Process

Combat Medical works continuously to anticipate life saving capability gaps in tactical care. Our specialized process begins with listening to medics and continues with a deep analysis of medical After Action Reviews and Joint Trauma Registry data in order to identify new requirements that ultimately deliver new solutions.

We further explore these new requirements in close collaboration with civilian and military medics, physicians and researchers. By combining their experience and expertise we conceptualize a solution and establish Key Performance Parameters upon which to develop the solution. We integrate Tactical Combat Casualty Care guidelines into the development of many of our products because the experience of the TCCC is trusted in the combat medic community.

Our team of engineers and product developers launch an iterative process in order to fully prove the solution’s various designs. We then evaluate the optimal design using a series of laboratory, environmental and regulatory tests to ensure that each new product from the Tactical Mechanical Tourniquet (TMT) to the Celox™ RAPID hemostatic gauze, meets or exceeds previously established KPPs.

Operational Test & Evaluation

All of our products undergo a series of rigorous Operational Tests & Evaluations using a combination of live field tests, clinical evaluations and academic peer reviewed studies. We relentlessly test until we are certain our products will excel in the toughest laboratory in the world: your next mission.

We value the trust that our customers have placed in us, that’s why we manufacture our products to the highest standards including, “Made in the USA,” Berry Amendment, TAA and Buy American Act Compliant. Combat Medical boasts a robust, in-house manufacturing facility that is both ISO 13485 compliant and FDA registered. Our Quality Management System ensures our products are the highest quality products employed by medics in the field today.

Our process is successful when it yields advanced lifesaving solutions to the Warfighter and to Law Enforcement professionals. We don’t just stop at production; we support our customers through New Equipment Training programs and work closely with tactical medical trainers to conduct hundreds of training events annually.
